The Canadian Chapter of The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Cartels & Leniency 2016 was authored by members of Affleck Greene McMurtry’s Competition Law team: Michael Osborne, Michael Binetti and Fiona Campbell.
The Guide is published yearly by the Global Legal Group with contributions from leading competition lawyers worldwide and provides practical insight into cross border law and key legal issues across 34 jurisdictions.
The Cartels & Leniency section examines common issues in cartels and leniency laws and regulations, such as legislative framework, investigative powers, sanctions, whistle-blowing procedures, leniency, plea bargaining arrangements, appeal process and damages actions.
