Affleck Greene McMurtry LLP is pleased to announce that Vik Tenekjian has joined the firm as Counsel.
Vik’s Practice
Vik Tenekjian has spent nearly two decades at the Federal Court on behalf of clients whose IP is central to their business. His clients have included technology companies, software industry associations, and pharmaceutical innovators. Together, they have navigated some of the most technically demanding litigation the Canadian courts see. His roster has included Microsoft Corporation, Adobe Systems Inc., Autodesk Inc., and the Business Software Alliance.
Beyond the technology sector, Vik has built a substantial body of work in pharmaceutical patent proceedings under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations. Most recently, he has represented clients in patent disputes arising from the energy industry. His courtroom experience extends to the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
Vik holds a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and an Honours B.Sc. in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University. Notably, at 21, he was among the youngest first-authors of a peer-reviewed scientific publication in Protein Science. In addition, Managing Intellectual Property recognized him as a Notable Practitioner in its 2025 IP Stars guide.
