Fraud Prevention Month
March 2nd, 2016
March is Fraud Prevention Month at the Competition Bureau. The annual campaign is aimed at raising awareness about the ever-changing landscape of consumer fraud, and informing Canadians on how to protect themselves.

Compiled by Better Business Bureaus in nine provinces, Quebec’s Options Consommateurs, and the Competition Bureau, the list features the CRA tax extortion scam, Kijiji overpayment scams and advance-fee loans.
Other programming includes:

- March 8 – ‘2 Good 2 B True’ Day Twitter Chat
- March 10 – Webinar: Preventing Fraud in Your Small Business, hosted by the Canadian Federation of Independent Businesses
